Solving Toy Shop Window

Nearly every toy in the window is a different colour, so at 50 pieces only about 4 pieces in 10 have a near-twin. The soldiers, painted alike, and the dark green panelling under the window are what repeat as the cut gets finer. By 1000 pieces about 9 in 10 have a near-twin, and about 1 in 10 is plain, mostly panelling and pavement.

Start with the lit dolls' house, then the train and the two teddy bears. Place the carousel and the sailing boat. Build the toy castle and the nutcracker, then the soldiers one row at a time. Add the rocking horse, the drum and the spinning top. Hang the balloon and the biplane, then the tree. Finish with the street and the green panelling.

Toy Shop Window is the easiest Christmas board at 50 and 100 pieces. Christmas Dinner passes it at 200 pieces, and at 500 Tree Ornaments does too, with Christmas Cookies level.
