Christmas Tree Farm Jigsaw Puzzle

Christmas Tree Farm at every size

Par is the time your score is measured against at that size. The rest is measured from the picture itself: how many pieces have a near-twin by colour once it is cut.

What the picture shows

A Christmas tree farm on a grey December morning, with light snow over muddy ground. A family walks away down a track in the middle: a boy in a navy coat pushes a green cart carrying a cut fir, his father pulls it, and his mother walks beside a little girl in a pink coat. On the left a worker feeds a tree into a red-and-white netting machine, with a red tractor behind. On the right a wooden hut hung with fairy lights serves hot drinks, beside a barrel and a fire pit. Rows of firs of every height fill the middle distance, and snowy fields and wooded hills lie under a white sky.

Solving Christmas Tree Farm

The family, the tractor and the hut keep the farm at about 7 pieces in 10 with a near-twin at 50 pieces. It reaches about 8 in 10 at 100, as the rows of firs share one dark green and the snowy mud one grey-brown. At 1000 pieces nearly every piece has a near-twin, and about 1 in 10 is plain, mostly the white sky.

Start with the red netting machine and the worker, then the red tractor. Build the lit hut and the fire pit. Place the family and the cart in the middle. Then the wooded hills and the white sky. Sort the firs by size: small and sharp in front, blurred and tiny toward the hills. The muddy track and the snowy ground are last.

Christmas Tree Farm sits in the middle of the Christmas set at 50 pieces and among the hardest from 200 up. At 200 pieces it ties with Cardinal in the Holly, behind only Winter Cabin, and at 500 it ties with Christmas Eve.
