What the picture shows

A paved stone path runs straight from the bottom edge into the distance under an arch of cherry trees in full pink blossom. Paper lanterns hang along both sides, some cream and some striped red and white, getting smaller as they recede. In the middle distance two people walk away under a purple umbrella. A wooden footbridge with dark red rails crosses a stream on the right. Fallen petals cover the path and the mossy stones, and ferns and white flowers grow on the left bank.

Solving Cherry Blossom Path

Of the flower pictures, this is the one where colour helps least: at 50 pieces about 7 pieces in 10 have a near-twin, because the blossom is the same pink across the whole top half. Yet no piece is ever blank. Branches, petals, stone joints or moss cross every piece at every size, so the shapes inside a piece are what you match.

Start with the path. Its paving stones get smaller toward the top, so the size of the stones tells you how far up a piece goes. Hang the lanterns next, two lines narrowing to the same point. Add the couple and the umbrella where the lines meet, then the bridge on the right. Sort the blossom by what shows behind it: dark branch, lantern, sky or more blossom.

Cherry Blossom Path is the hardest flower picture at 50 and 100 pieces, and at 200 Sunflower Field draws level: at 100 about 8 pieces in 10 have a near-twin, against 4 on Cottage Garden. At 500 pieces Sunflower Field passes it, and at 1000 Lavender Field has the most, with the path level with the sunflowers. With Tree Ornaments and Christmas Cookies, it is one of only three pictures in the collection with no plain pieces at any size.
